PE Funding 2014-2015
School Sports Partnership - £8020
As the sports funding has now been guaranteed for next year I have already started to look at how this budget can be spent to get the highest level of PE education for the children within the school.
Our work with the School Sports Partnership (SSP) will continue and therefore will allow us to continue to train and enhance the class teachers delivery of PE lessons. This has already been shown to have a positive effect with the children. All have made good progress since their last PE assessment periods. Our partnership also allows us the ability to enter a number of sporting events.
I would also like to set aside some of the new budget to replenish some of the sports equipment. I have completed a thorough audit with the PE specialist from the SSP. We have highlighted areas where we are both strong and weak, in terms of resources and as a result of this I have a few resources that would benefit the progress of the children.
After School Clubs
The after school clubs will also continue as they are a large part of what the school offers as its overall package and the experience the children can have. As a result of this I would like to assign funding from the budget to it. We currently work very closely with two excellent providers. Foundation Football and Sports Extra, I will work alongside these companies to provide clubs that are appealing and targeted to the current children at the time.
