The Trust board has decided to change the way governance across all its schools is managed in order to secure more meaningful engagement from all stakeholders. The establishment of a Local School Advisory Board (LSAB) at each school is part of that process. The local boards will replace Local Governing Bodies and have a different remit. The Trust board will manage and monitor educational outcomes, finance and audit, HR, and Ofsted, allowing LSABs to focus on the crucial areas below.
The key areas of work for the LSAB would be:
Promote reputation and impact in the local community;
Evaluate staff and parental survey results and develop actions with the school that yield measurable improvements;
Provide feedback on and support school policy development and implementation;
Act as a critical friend and sounding board for new ideas and/or developments;
Support the Headteacher in developing and securing the school’s own ethos, in line with the vision and ethos of the Trust;
To support HR panels and student disciplinary panels as necessary;
Provide feedback to the Trust Board about key local issues.
At Chadwell St Mary we are currently seeking parents to join our LSAB, For more information about the role please contact Mrs Donnelly through the school office.
